Discovery Place has partnered with Coyle & Caron to create indoor and outdoor experiences for a new nature museum focused on Piedmont ecology through the lens of science and art. Visitors are oriented to the site’s natural and cultural history in the Piedmont Gallery where their curiosity is engaged through a variety of hands-on activities and live animal observations. An outdoor journey begins with underwater views of North American River Otters whose large habitat extends along a wooded hillside. Continuing along the trail visitors may observe a variety of raptors, small mammals and amphibians.
