This pre-K through grade 8 independent school is located on a hillside overlooking the North River on Boston’s south shore. Since its establishment in the early 1970s, the neighborhood was built-out with single family lots with the exception of a six-acre site at the top of the hill. Coyle & Caron assisted Inly School with the planning and acquisition of this parcel expanding their campus to ten acres. With half of the acreage under the purview of the local conservation commission, a plan was devised to create a series of trails and wetland crossings for outdoor and hands-on learning which is integral to a Montessori-based education. The final phase of a four-year plan culminated with the opening of a new greenhouse and discovery trails in May 2017.
