Valley Pasture

Coyle & Caron began work on this historic site with a more austere approach to planting emphasizing the farmhouse and its connection to the surrounding expansive landscape. A perennial garden was designed to reinvigorate a part of the site that had remnant elements including an apple tree and the original stone well. A second phase of work focused on land planning for the entire site resulting in a fifteen-acre area subdivided for three single family homes and 15 acres put into Town conservation lands. As part of the subdivision planning a new common driveway was nestled into the slope and a former pasture was restored to wet meadow to create a larger buffer to the bordering vegetated wetland.
