Quentin Caron

Trained as painter and print-maker, Quentin approaches landscape design with the craft of a visual artist. After taking a part-time leave of absence during the past in order to work for Walt Disney Imagineering and then Universal Creative on major thematic projects, Quentin is happy to once again be more involved with the company he helped found.

Quentin was raised in Western Canada where years of experiences in the Rocky Mountains inspired a deep curiosity of the natural world. His ability to perceive and understand patterns in the landscape provides critical insight into both the analytical and conceptual bases of Coyle & Caron’s studio projects.

Quentin received a four-year diploma of Applied Art from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology in 1976 (now the Alberta University of the Arts) His MFA was earned at Columbia University in 1986. When he’s not in his studio, Quentin enjoys an eclectic assortment of interests.

Curtis McMahon

Curtis McMahon joined Coyle & Caron in 2020 as a Project Manager. Trained in landscape architecture, his background is in a diversity of project types ranging from commercial, K-12 schools, office, multi-family, mixed-use, and residential. He also volunteered as a gardener at the San Diego Botanic Garden and interned in animal care at the Rosamond Gifford Zoo during college.

Curtis developed an interest in natural science through visiting zoos while also attending summer art camp. These experiences created Curtis’ appreciation for the intricacies of ecology, biodiversity, and history that form unique places. With this passion, he completed his Bachelor of Landscape Architecture at the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry.

Curtis has visited over fifty zoos throughout the US, UK, Australia, and India. He hopes to one day visit all seven continents and/or every Mediterranean climate zone. At home, Curtis enjoys spending time with his family through discovering new hobbies and exploring parks and gardens.
